What is the story behind Shield & Protect?

Greg Mannino was instrumental in helping to develop Shield & Protect. At age 18, he lost his leg in an accident and was encouraged to continue to snow ski by his father. It was his way of feeling normal when speeding very fast down a snow covered mountain. As he grew, he would constantly battle chafing and skin irritation with his prosthetic leg. With the help of a well known dermatologist, they developed a formula to not only help with chafing, but it was a multi-use formula to address inflammation, odour and discomfort without slippage. Greg became one of the top Paralympic athletes in the world, winning 22 medals and becoming the first ever Paralympic athlete featured on the cover of Skiing Magazine. Greg was a member of the US Disabled Alpine team from 1986-2001, a five-time Paralympic team member and he competed as a member of the 1988 US Olympic team.Shield & Protect provided confidence to Greg as he skied 95 mph (or more) down the runs to win an unprecedented number of medals and accolades in the sport of downhill skiing.

We have customers who say that Shield & Protect has worked better than all previous creams to address their bedsores.
