2021 in review: a huge year for #teamxnd athletes!

As we close out 2021, we wanted to take a few moments to celebrate all the sporting success of our #teamxnd athletes. Despite the ever-present pandemic, our athletes have navigated restrictions, lockdowns and quarantines to achieve some huge success!

Sarah Davies

Sarah has had a huge 2021. After success at the European Championships, where Sarah placed 2nd in the Clean and Jerk, 2nd in the Snatch and 2nd overall, Sarah then got to experience her first Olympic Games. Sarah had a gutsy performance, attempting the last bar at the competition, which would have got her a podium spot, and ended up with a 5th place. Sarah then went up into the 71kg category for the first time at the World Championships, and had some huge lifts, going 6/6, getting 2nd in the Clean and Jerk and 2nd overall. We cannot wait to see what 2022 holds for Sarah!

Giorgos Karavis

Giorgos had an incredibly successful season- finishing 12th in the worldwide Open, 4th in the Quarter Finals and 4th again in the Semi Finals, earning his spot to the CrossFit Games where he finished 33rd. Giorgos then continued this success, winning the Madrid Challenger Series, and finising 7th at the Dubai CrossFit Championships.

Marc Scott

2021 saw Marc continue to rise the ranks in British distance running. After very narrowly missing the Olympic finals, Marc went on to win the Great North Run in spectacular fashion. As the reigning British Champion in the 10,000m, 2022 looks set to be a big one for Marc!

Lucy Campbell

Lucy had an unbelivable 2021. After finishing within the top 100 in the world during the CrossFit Open, Lucy blazed through the quarterfinals and ended up in 9th place in the Semifinals, earning her a spot in the Last Chance Qualifiers. Here Lucy placed 18th worldwide, and ended up 2nd Fittest in the UK. Lucy went on to win the Arnold Fitness Games in dominating fashion - the future looks very, very bright!

Aneta Tucker

After entering the CrossFit Open "for a bit of fun", Aneta managed to continually work her way through the online stages, in really impressive fasion, and earned her spot to the Games itself. Aneta then went on to have an incredible performance, finishing 3rd in the 35-39 age group. Looks like your competing days are absolutely not over Aneta!

Chantal Cummings

Chantal continues to go from strength to strength and has had another very successful year. Chantal started the year off with winning InfintTri Half, before going on to finish 3rd in IM UK and 2nd in IM Warwsaw. 2022 looks set to be bigger than ever - good luck Chantal!

Nick Rose

Nick never fails to impress us all, and this year was no exception. Nick racked up mutliple wins across the season, including 1st place in his category in IM Tallinn, 1st place in IM Portugal and 2nd place in IM Staffs 70.3. Let's see what 2022 holds!

Dan Dixon

Along with continuing to dominate the Junior triathlon scene, Dan is now stepping up into the Elite field, and continuing with the huge success, podiuming multiple times across the season. Just some of his performance include Elite and Junior British Champion, 1st place ETU Cup, 2nd place European Junior Championships and 6th in the World Series. Keep it up Dan - 2022 will see even more wins we are sure!
